1968 Shelby EXP 500 "Green Hornet", twice used as a technology prototype was long thought to have been sent to the crushers like most others, but had actually been saved from that fate and rediscovered and restored decades later. Bidding went as high as $1,800,000, but was not sold due to the reserve price not being met met.
