A Port Washington man’s classic car is featured in a calendar that has been distributed worldwide.
Jeff Melnichenko’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is included in the 2017 edition of Snap-on’s Snap-shots wall calendar. Snap-on is a manufacturer of high-end shop tools, including automotive tools.
Melnichenko’s red Chevrolet is featured on the cover and as the photo for the month of January.
The Snap-shots series of calendars originally was developed by Snap-on Tools in 1995 as as tribute to the dedicated professionalism of automotive technicians and hobbyists who use Snap-on products, according to a news release from Wild Impact Marketing. The calendars annually have featured Snap-on customers’ custom and classic vehicles they have created, restored or maintained. The formats of the Snap-shots calendars include a wall calendar and Mini Snap-shots, which features additional cars and trucks in a compact format. Customs versions of the wall calendar also are published exclusively for international markets.
Snap-on franchises and representatives invite customers to submit photographs of custom or classic vehicles they own, which are then reviewed and narrowed down to a final group for each of the calendar formats.
Snap-shot calendars and 2018 official entry forms are available from local Snap-on Tools franchises or representatives.
