Raymond K. “Keith” Sherman, 60, of County Highway 155, Broadalbin passed away on Friday March 26, 2021.
He was born in Amsterdam on April 8, 1960 a son of Raymond and Patricia Seeley Sherman and attended school in Perth. Keith was a lifelong area resident.
He was employed as a roofer at Horizon Roofing in Schenectady for over ten years and later was a self-employed landscaper for a few years.
Keith was an avid motorcyclist, car enthusiast, and enjoyed attending classic car shows as well as community snowmobile and motorcycle runs. He also liked doing automotive bodywork and staying busy with home improvement projects. Keith enjoyed family gatherings and always loved an opportunity to crack a joke. He could be stubborn at times but was always a hard worker and always did what he wanted.
He was predeceased by his father, Ray.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Sherman of Amsterdam; the mother of his daughter, Sherry M. Benedict of Gloversville; his mother, Patricia Sherman of Amsterdam; a brother, Kevin Sherman of Broadalbin; two sisters, Deborah Sherman of Amsterdam and Kirsten Wood of Tallahassee, FL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2021 from 4 – 7 pm at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc, 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown followed by a memorial service at 7 pm at the funeral home with Linda Eastman presiding. In accordance with current health guidelines, facial coverings and social distancing are required. Final burial will be private at East Galway Cemetery.
